The Black Keys have parted ways with their managers, Irving Azoff and Steve Moirfollowing the abrupt cancellation of the band's North American arena tour late last month.
First reported by New York TimesA spokesperson for Azoff confirmed the split, saying Advertising sign it was an “amicable parting”. A representative for the Black Keys declined to comment. Moir did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
On May 24, information about the Keys' 31-date international headlining tour, which was set to begin Sept. 17 in Tulsa, Okla., and conclude Nov. 12 in Detroit, quietly disappeared from Ticketmaster's website.
Two days later, the band – which consists of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) writing that they had “decided”, after a string of shows in the UK and Europe, to “make some changes on the North American leg of the International Players Tour which will allow us to deliver a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band and will soon announce a revised set of dates.” No other reason was given for the cancellation of the arena dates. , although slow ticket sales are widely speculated to be to blame.

As Black Keys fans await the promised rescheduled dates and/or refunds for the arena shows, a single North American date remains on the band's official website: a July 6 performance at the NASCAR Chicago Street Race.
The cancellation of Keys' arena dates is Profile's second tour cancellation in recent weeks. On Friday (May 31), Live Nation announced that Jennifer Lopez has canceled her This Is Me…Live tour just one month before it kicked off in Orlando, Florida. The touring giant said the superstar was “taking time to be with her children, family and close friends.” Lopez later released her own statement saying she was “totally upset” about the cancellation and that she “wouldn't have done it unless I felt it was absolutely necessary.”
