Following a tantalizing “El CLúB” release earlier this month, Bad Bunny has announced an exciting 17-track “Bomba” lineup — roughly meaning “explosive hit songs” — on Christmas Day (December 25) via X. This reveal is gone Fans are buzzing on social media with anticipation, further fueling speculation of an upcoming album.
The Puerto Rican superstar has a history of delivering – or announcing – his music on unconventional dates (eg. X100Pre at Christmas; YHLQMDLG the leap day; Las Que No Iban A Salir on Mother's Day. The Last Tour of the World on Thanksgiving), turning album drops into celebrations.
His latest single – co-produced by MAG, Saox and La Paciencia – features ethereal guitar tones in plena style, an Afro-Caribbean style from Puerto Rico that combines electronic elements, via Rimas Entertainment. According to the press release, the song encapsulates “the longing for a chapter in life that still holds a special place in memory.”
“El CLúB” debuted at No. 2 on Hot Latin Songs, at No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 39 on the Billboard Global 200, among other chart achievements. Benito's longtime producer Tainy is also expected to be involved in producing the album.
The upcoming 17-track release will follow in 2023 Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Bad Bunny recently teamed up with Argentinian soccer legend Lionel Messi to launch a new Adidas collection. “We hope to create a legacy that reflects this unique partnership, inspiring new generations to follow their passions and work hard to achieve their dreams,” said Bani Bulletin board for the collaboration at that time. “We want this partnership to become a symbol of unity for our Latino community and for the future.”
