Aphex Twin has announced an expanded version of his album Selected Ambient Works Volume 2. The groundbreaking 1994 LP will be released in all formats for the first time on October 4 via Warp, arriving in digital, 3xCD, 2xcassette and 4xLP standard and box set editions, which include a fold-out poster, sticker sheet and a booklet containing sketches for the original artwork of designer Paul Nicholson. The release also includes the previous vinyl-only track “#19,” which Aphex Twin also shared today, along with two additional tracks, “th1 [evnslower]” and “Rhubarb Orc. 19.53 Rev.” Check out “#19” and the extended version and tracklist below.
Aphex Twin's last release was 2023 Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760 EP, which marked the electronic artist's first new music in five years. They also headlined the Field Day festival in London's Victoria Park last year.
