Anthem Entertainment has acquired a “broad” selection of songs from Darell's catalog, the company says Bulletin board. The deal includes the star's star-studded “Te Boté (Remix)” featuring Casper Mágico, Nio García, Nicky Jam, Ozuna & Bad Bunny, which peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018 and ruled the Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks.
Additional Darell songs that are part of the takeover include “Otro Trago” featuring Sech and “Asesina” featuring Brytiago, along with tracks featuring Jennifer Lopez, Rauw Alejandro, J Balvin and more.
The Darell catalog acquisition further strengthens Anthem's presence in the Latin music space. The independent music label's catalog of releases also includes a number of hits from Latin acts such as Pitbull, Karol G, Farruko, Camilo and Ricky Martin.
Also on Wednesday (Nov. 13), Anthem also announced that industry veteran Victor Mijares has been appointed as the Latin music company's first vice president and will “work closely” with Anthem's acquisitions team to “source and evaluate investment opportunities in the Latin market,” according to a press release.
