Childish Gambino: Bando Stone and the New World [RCA]
It's the end of Childish Gambino as we know him. For years, Donald Glover has been saying he'd take the moniker, which was pulled from a Wu-Tang Clan name generator, and now it's finally happening as the rapper-singer releases new album. Bando Stone and the New World. “It was really like, 'Oh, it's over,'” Glover recently told Reggie Ugwu about The New York Times. “It is not satisfactory. And I just felt like I didn't need to build that way anymore.” Glover is joined on the Gambino finale by Jorja Smith and Amaarae (on the single “In the Night”), Yeat, Chlöe, producers Ludwig Göransson, Michael Uzowuru and Max Martin and more.
